Over the several days, Slade bombards me with gifts and attention, and my poor heart doesn’t stand a chance. Who am I kidding? I fell instantly and irrevocably in love with him the night he rescued me from the club.

“Another delivery for you.” Jazzy comes breezing into the stockroom with a gift-wrapped box in her hand. “I’m not going to lie, I’m kinda jealous of all these awesome gifts. Slade is definitely the bomb-dot-com when it comes to picking out presents.

She’s not wrong. Monday morning, a delivery man showed up ten minutes after we opened the boutique with a gold-foiled envelope addressed to me. Inside of it, I found season tickets to a balcony section of the Silver Spoon Falls Theater.

I have no idea how he found out I’m a huge theater fan, but he really outdid himself with that one.

That night, I thanked Slade for my very thoughtful present by making him a homemade dinner. I was hopeful the night would end with him actually touching my overheated body, but he foiled my plans and left me with just a smoking hot kiss at the door.

The next day, I received a large gold box that contained a stunning navy blue, silk evening gown, matching shoes, and a handbag from one of my favorite designers. A designer who’s way the heck out of my budget. In a much smaller second box, I found a nude scrap of nothing that is supposed to be a thong. The note attached to the gift box read:

A little something to wear when I take you to the theater. I plan to see how much you enjoy the show with my tongue exploring your sweet cunt.
